Investing in Ergonomics, why?

Investing in Ergonomics, why?

Foreword

We would like to dedicate this Newsletter to Faentia Consulting because it has demonstrated to be able to exploit every situation at its best, also in difficult times. The present newsletter shall not be a self-referential essay, but quite the opposite in fact. In the concept of modern Business, where every single activity is analyzed to its extremes in order to detect all weaknesses and then eliminate them, it is - we believe - very important to show that investing into “values” can be a winning factor. A heart-felt thank you therefore to all those that have believed in us and that will share our future.

Marketing and Communication Manager

At the beginning of 2009 Faentia Consulting’s owners decided to face the global crisis not with a protection plan, but choosing to attack. Targets have been set and investments have been planned for the 2009-2010 period.

  • April 2009: The Company has been moved to wider premises to facilitate work organization, internal communication and hospitality toward external consultants and customers.
  • June 2009: Increase of capital stock due to structural investments and technological innovations financed by owners.
  • June 2009: Fulfillment of the “RMGOne” Research and Development Project, for a non-invasive diagnose of the TCS Syndrome.
  • September – November 2009: Fulfillment of the “Ergonomics in the Workplace” Project within the company’s new premises.
  • November 2009: Renewal and upgrading of the company’s intranet
  • March-September 2010: “Immagine 2010” Project
  • October 2010: Renewal and improvement of workstations
  • November 2009 - December 2010: UNI EN ISO9000:2008 Quality Management System

We have been able to materialize our projects and reach our targets thanks to the commitment of all our resources, to the great passion with which we do our work and to the care that we try to bestow upon our customers.

We live every day based on those principles; this is our philosophy and today we have chosen to share it with you all “globally”.

“Today more than ever only the companies that can satisfy their customers will grow. Particularly in our field, this is the unavoidable condition to conquer -through “word-of-mouth”- new customers and new work opportunities. Satisfying customers means maximizing your perception of them always keeping in mind the ratio between the value of the service we offer and its cost. One must therefore act in two different directions:

  • Increase the perception customers have of the value of the service we offer
  • Check the costs of the service in such a way as to remain competitive also in periods of market crisis.

In order to increase the value perceived by customers one must be:

  • Seriously organized as a company and respectful of its hierarchical structure;
  • Clear and prompt in analyzing and detecting customers’ needs and formulating business offers;
  • Comprehensive in business offers, so as not to create misunderstandings with customers;
  • Comprehensive during the design phase in: detecting activities, responsibilities, times and interfaces among all stakeholders that might affect customer-targets’ achievements;
  • Careful while monitoring the state of the art of all activities, able to point out and manage every restriction or problem while being constantly proactive;
  • Able to regulate and modify the frequency and duration of interventions at customers’ premises, based on their needs;
  • Able to work as a team based on the principles of the Inner Customer/Outer Customer theory and co-operative with customer’s personnel and with any other companies/professionals;
  • Punctual in presenting the foreseen technical documents within their agreed deadlines;
  • Clear and coherent in the technical documentation supplied;
  • Clear and coherent in the accounting documentation.
  • To make internal organizational procedures as agile as possible and to stick to them systematically; to formulate improvement proposals wherever time saving is possible in the execution or fulfillment of activities;
  • To define and maintain an adequately equipped, orderly and tidy working environment.
  • To carry out our work wherever this is possible with accuracy and never with approximation, being aware that organizational effectiveness is obtained mostly by “doing the right thing the first time”.

In order to check the costs of the service one needs:

  • To make internal organizational procedures as agile as possible and to stick to them systematically; to formulate improvement proposals wherever time saving is possible in the execution or fulfillment of activities;
  • To define and maintain an adequately equipped, orderly and tidy working environment.
  • To carry out our work wherever this is possible with accuracy and never with approximation, being aware that organizational effectiveness is obtained mostly by “doing the right thing the first time”.

No target can be achieved without the full involvement of all personnel at every level . What makes us who we are is that we are professional, we care for details, we pay attention to nuances, we are committed to what we do and we are proud of it and of the results we have achieved. Passion for life!”
