Mimos Annual Convention

Mimos Annual Convention

Rome, 12 Novembre 2014 Giovanni Miranda, PhD, Eur. Erg.

On Wednesday 12 November 2014 the Sala Marconi belonging to the CNR (National Research Council) facility in ROME hosted the first edition of the "MIMOS Convention". MIMOS is the Movimento Italiano Modellazione e Simulazione (Italian Modelling and Simulation Movement) and has, since 2000, been operating internationally for the diffusion of simulation technologies. In its broadest sense the term includes – in addition to the traditional and more widely known flight, vehicle and shipping manoeuvre simulators – the fast-growing areas of Virtual Reality, Synthetic Environments, Virtual prototyping and a wide range of software modelling applications.

The aim of this day was to facilitate a meeting between associates, companies, institutions, partners and professionals and divulge Italian excellence in Modelling & Simulation. An excellence, what’s more, also represented by the presence of finalists and special mentions in the MIMOS Ved Award, as the day also included the relative prize-giving ceremony.

Summing up, the MIMOS Convention provided an excellent opportunity for everyone to present their own company, products and services, the research they’re engaged in… or simply to show off their enthusiasm to create partnerships and seek out new customers.

Faentia Consulting was, then, also able to present itself during the Convention, confidently restarting its ability to provide quality performance that complements and completes the services offered by other high-tech companies that, like us, are affiliated with MIMOS. Keen interest was shown in the Multimedia Technical Documentation and Video Training platforms produced by Faentia Consulting in partnership with London-based firm JOON Ltd, which had, for these projects, its UX/UI designers & Drupal web designers team up with Faentia Consulting’s Product Safety managers.

There was also keen interest in the Human Factors Engineering activities associated with the R&D Business Unit for the Il Coniglietto Ginny and Ergoscopia projects.
We can, then, state that we are once again highly satisfied with the attained results, in terms of both team spirit and the shared social experience. Feedback has been equally positive, thus providing us with positive rewards for all the hard work done throughout the year!
